Volume III

Don’t wait for the archive.

Three is a magic number. Three of us and three volumes for now. For this anniversary issue, our wish was to pay homage to the people who are here and to those who passed while we were making the publication you are currently holding between your hands. Azzedine Alaïa left us on the day we launched Volume II. Hubert de Givenchy followed only a few months later. Find out what they mean to us. 

Archiving is a way of sharing. Its creation is a celebration of the past, but also of what is yet to come. Volume III explores different collections of documents and records that provide information gathered either by chance or that have been purposefully put together. An archive allows one to transform the experience of time into an act of love. “Time is not outside of the archive, it is in it.”
